Tuesday we went for an adventure through the Ruby Mountains. Our first sight was of an old mine shaft and some abandoned houses along with a few old cars. I loved that they were so old and almost hidden among the trees. After following a dirt road through the mountain we ended up on a main highway that led us to the ruby marshes, where we watched and heard so many different kinds of birds. We had lunch in the back of the truck and enjoyed the sights. On our way back we stopped at this creek. I love finding pretty rocks and Collette enjoyed putting them in her overalls. We had fun taking pictures of her jumping in the water. besides birds we saw cows in the road, a snake, horses and blue dragonflies. After we got cleaned up we went out to dinner at the flying fish, Collette and I were craving California roles, edamame, and miso soup! The temp was about 75-80 degrees , perfect for an outdoor excursion. I am so thankful for the time I have with Stephen and Collette. God is good! ~Cara
